Be a Part of Our Legacy

A Lasting Gift for Future Generations

By including Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School in your will, trust, or estate plans, you can help ensure that future generations benefit from the ministry of Catholic education. A legacy gift is a meaningful expression of faith, gratitude, and belief in the lasting value of an Epiphany education.

Planned giving allows supporters to make a significant gift while creating a legacy for themselves and their loved ones. These gifts may provide lifelong payments, tax advantages, or other financial benefits, depending on the type of gift and a donor’s individual circumstances.

Through the Legacy Society, you can become the “Heart and Hands of Christ” by helping sustain Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School’s mission for years to come.

For questions regarding planned giving or the Legacy Society, contact Roberto Pugliares at 941-488-2215 ext. 2205 or Pugliares@ecstigers.com.

Ways to Leave a Legacy

Bequests, Wills & Trusts

Bequests, Wills & Trusts

A bequest through a will or trust is one of the most common ways to leave a legacy to Epiphany Cathedral School. Donors may designate Epiphany as a beneficiary and create a lasting gift that supports the school’s mission.

Charitable Lead Trusts may provide current income to the school for a designated number of years before assets return to the donor or a designee. Charitable Remainder Trusts may provide income for life, a charitable deduction, and the possible reduction of capital gains taxes, with the trust remainder designated to Epiphany Cathedral School.

Charitable Gift Annuity

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract between a donor and Epiphany Cathedral School that provides fixed quarterly payments for life, along with potential immediate and ongoing tax deductions. Upon the annuitant’s death, the school receives the remaining gift.

The current minimum Charitable Gift Annuity is $10,000. Please contact the school for an individualized illustration.

Life Insurance

Life Insurance

A donor may name Epiphany Cathedral School as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Fully paid policies may also be donated, potentially providing a current tax deduction. Life Insurance Trusts may offer an additional way to provide a future gift while helping reduce estate taxes.

Real Estate & Property

Real Estate & Property

Donors may make a deferred gift of a home or other property to Epiphany Cathedral School while continuing to live in the home for the rest of their lives. Gifts of property or land may also offer favorable tax benefits and help donors avoid capital gains tax in certain circumstances.

Financial Accounts

Financial Accounts

Many financial accounts — including savings, checking, CD, brokerage, and credit-union accounts — may be transferred to Epiphany Cathedral School without changing a will. Donors may also name Epiphany as a beneficiary of a fully paid life insurance policy while retaining ownership rights during their lifetime.
